Patio Installation Project in Oak Leaf, TX
Project Overview
This Oak Leaf, TX project involved installing a new paver patio and walkway in a spacious backyard. The homeowner wanted a space for outdoor meals and relaxing evenings with family. With a flat lawn and plenty of open room, the area was ideal for building a durable, low-maintenance patio that would blend into the yard and add value to the home.
Customer Problem or Challenge
Before we began, the backyard was just grass with no defined area for furniture or foot traffic. During rainy seasons, the area near the back door would get muddy, and furniture had to be set up and broken down constantly. The homeowner wanted a permanent space that drained well, looked natural, and required minimal upkeep.
Approach and Solution
We worked with the customer to design a 12×16 paver patio layout with a curved border and a stepping stone path leading to the gate. We used thick concrete pavers in a tan and gray blend to match the home’s brick. After marking out the area, we excavated the soil, added compacted gravel for drainage, and used sand bedding for level installation.
A border edge restraint kept the shape secure, and we filled joints with polymeric sand for a tight, weed-resistant finish. Drainage was tested and slightly sloped away from the home. The end result was a dry, durable patio perfect for a dining table, grill, and chairs.
Results
Paver patio installation in Oak Leaf, TX created a durable, stylish outdoor living space with a matching walkway.
The new patio transformed the backyard into a usable space all year long. The pavers matched the home’s exterior, and the curved path added a decorative touch leading into the yard. The homeowner now hosts weekend cookouts with family and no longer worries about tracking mud inside.
